#Fine Art #Interdisciplinary Art & Design #Printmaking & Painting
Yaohan Zhang is an artist and interdisciplinary designer. Her practice embodies an ongoing dialogue between evolving artistic forms, with painting and printmaking as foundational languages that support her rich visual storytelling. Through these mediums, she crafts narratives that are deeply connected to her personal experiences and wider cultural contexts.
Her artistic exploration further extends into various media arts. Her work reflects a commitment to uncovering both the tangible and intangible aspects of the world, with a focus on materialities that reveal deeper layers of meaning in the relationships between the material world, consciousness, and the expansive universe.
She holds a master's degree in Design, Expanded Practice, Space and Participation from Goldsmiths, University of London. She is currently working as a research assistant at SUSTech, within the Materialities Research Group led by Enza Migliore and the Sound Studies Group led by Marcel Sagesser.
